THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

POINTS:

• When God is about to bless us, the enemy is about to stress us.

• Antonym of a rich and satisfying life: unfruitful. Synonym of a rich and satisfying life: fruitful.

• All of the qualities of the fruit of the Spirit represent the character of Christ in us.

• The expression should be “fruit of the Spirit”, not “fruits of the Spirit”.

• To walk in only part of Christ’s character is to not walk in any of His character.

• If we are missing one aspect of Christ’s character, we are missing them all because the expression is “fruit”, not “fruits”.

• If we only want one flavor of Christ’s character, do we actually want Him? Do we just want the benefits of Christianity without the sacrifice of it?

• Jesus wants all of us, and He wants us to have all of Him.

• If we don’t put our word to work, there will be no fruit. And when we work, we work with God.

• We get sidetracked by the product of our work, and the Holy Spirit is always about our relationship with Him in the work.

• The fruit of the Spirit reveals the heart of the Father to the world.

• We will provide shade for the world.

• Don’t take shade from trees that aren’t bearing the fruit of His Spirit.

• Shade either cools and comforts, or it disrespects and tears down.
