POINTS:

• Before Jesus, the devil’s works were on display in Mary’s life.

• Mary was a broken mess, and Jesus put her back together.

• Magdala: a place where everyone is hurting.

• God uses the counted out and marginalized so that we’ll see how the gospel works.

• Without grace, you are always looking down on those who have hurt you.

• Instead of looking down, grace has caused Mary to look up to the One who can save her.

• Grace levels the playing field.

• Grace is for the Church lady and the former drug addict. It is for the inmate and the single parent, it is for the brother with a messy past, and for the sister with the secret shame. Grace is for you.

• It is grace that makes a good testimony.

• Mary understood her need, so she is willing to push past some things.

• Grace doesn’t just empower us, it calls us to use our voice for His glory.
