POINTS:
Wherever we exclude God, we will always include the devil.
God defines what is moral and immoral.
We must know God’s heart before we know His rules.
When we exclude God from the bedroom, we carry the shame of our sin there instead of God’s love.
Immorality = taking the dwelling place of God and exposing it to sin.
Sexual immorality = taking the most holy place of that dwelling (the holy of holies) and exposing it to sin.
Sexual immorality doesn’t just affect you individually; it affects the church corporately.
It’s the handling of immorality that gets the church into more trouble than the immorality itself.
Human wisdom handles immorality in two ways: shame and blame, or whatever goes.
We must handle immorality God’s way, and His is the way of love.
So many of the broken choices we make stem from our search for love.
He designed sex to be the closest experience to the Trinity that we can have here on earth.
The devil wants to bring hell to the bedroom.
Dealing with immorality:
Get rid of the immorality in our lives.
Flee from sexual immorality.
Find someone who can hold you accountable.
Approach others’ immorality like a speck of dust in their eye.
