POINTS:

• A leader needs to be up front and a role model.

• HALT - Hungry, Angry, Lonely, and Tired

• A leader needs to be the tip of the spear, out front, not the tail behind it, and we should pray for all our leaders.

• Pornographia: printed or visual material containing explicit display of sexual parts or activity.

• Porn = worshiping an image

• Images dehumanize the individual being imaged and also those like them.

• It flattens them to a one-dimensional picture so they fit the narrative that we desire.

• A crucial step to freeing oneself from any dehumanizing narrative is to start thinking about the person behind the image.

• We must make them 4-dimensional humans (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual).

• Tools to fight temptation: your table, your God, and your surrender

• Who is at your table?

• We must have a table with those who will help us, challenge us, and love us.

• We must commune with God, and we must surrender.

• Surrender: 1) practice joy and gratitude daily 2) if you do fall, get back up 3) one day, one moment at a time

• There are consequences for sin.

• Jesus is the Way in which we endure, and the Way in which we find our way out of sin’s destructive grasp.
